EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARAB DEPICTING CROWNED SEKHMET. Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A steatite scarab with a domed back, a raised clypeus, and elytra divided by a central line. The underside is flat and engraved with the crowned goddess Sekhmet within an oval border. The scarab is drilled lengthwise. Size: 10mm x 7mm; Weight: 0.4g Provenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1990s.
