PAIR OF EGYPTIAN HYKSOS PERIOD STONE SCARABS.
Second Intermediate Period, Ca. 1790 - 1550 BC.
A pair of scarabs in gold mounts, including, from left to right: a scarab in a plain oval collet with tubular sleeves for threading, the base engraved with hieroglyphs; and a carnelian scarab in a matching oval collet with twin sleeves, the base cut with intersecting linear signs.
