EGYPTIAN FAIENCE USHABTI WITH INSCRIPTION.
Late Period, 26th Dynasty, Ca. 620 BC.
A faience mummiform ushabti with a tripartite wig and an oval face with a false beard, tapering to an integral square plinth. The forearms cross the chest and grasp agricultural tools. A single vertical column of simplified hieroglyphs runs down the front. The reverse is flat with a central dorsal ridge running down to the base.
