Description
HELLENISTIC GOLD NECKLACE WITH ROSETTE PENDANT.
Ca. 400 - 200 BC.
A gold necklace composed of two sections: the upper half strung entirely with biconical beads, the lower half alternating biconical with short barrel beads. Near the pendant sit four larger ribbed melon beads flanking a pendant formed as a circular domed disc with a central ten-petalled rosette set within a round bezel. A fine beaded border runs around the face, and a ribbed suspension loop rises above the pendant.
