Description

HELLENISTIC OR LATER GLAZED TERRACOTTA TRAY. Ca. 300 BC or later. A rectangular black glazed terracotta tray with a shallow central basin with rounded corners. On the two shorter sides, there is a moulded decoration consisting of stylised geometric motifs. The black glaze is uniform and covers the entire surface of the tray. Size: 320mm x 170mm; Weight: 675g. Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection 1970s-1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
