HELLENISTIC CARNELIAN INTAGLIO DEPICTING ITHYPHALLIC SATYR AND A RAM IN GOLD RING. Ca. 200 - 1 BC . A translucent orange carnelian intaglio engraved with an ithyphallic satyr standing behind a ram. The figure is shown holding a short staff, and the animal is rendered with a textured body and lifted foreleg. Set in an oval gold bezel merging into the broad shoulders of a tapered gold hoop.
