Description
GREEK GOLD AMPHORA-SHAPED PENDANT.
Ca. 300 BC.
A gold pendant modelled as a miniature amphora, with a compressed ovoid body, volute handles, and a small foot. The lower half is gadrooned, and the neck flares to an everted lip edged with a beaded moulding. A flat lid surmounts the mouth with a ribbed tubular suspension loop.
