COLLECTION OF GREEK GOLD EARRINGS. Ca. 500 - 200 BC. A collection of five gold earrings, including, from left to right: a tapering hoop surmounted by a garnet cabochon in a beaded collet and suspending a club-shaped pendant; an almond-shaped bezel set with a garnet, the hoop terminating in a granule drop; a twisted hoop bearing a spiral roundel boss and suspended granule terminal; a thick lunate hoop of rounded section with simple binding at the ear; and a flattened crescentic plate hoop with integral hook-and-eye fastening.
