RARE GREEK BRONZE GEOMETRIC PERIOD QUADRIGA. Ca. 900 - 700 BC. A cast bronze quadriga group formed as a row of four stylised horses advancing abreast. Each horse is modelled with an arched, tapering neck with a wedge-shaped head and protruding ears, the bodies fused. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 1972.118.56. Size: 50mm x 40mm; Weight: 150g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Belgium; formerly in a German private collection before 2000. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
