GREEK BRONZE GEOMETRIC FIGURINE OF CERBERUS. Ca. 800 - 700 BC. A cast bronze figurine of Cerberus depicted as a two-headed dog with a single body standing on widely spaced legs, the tail upcurved. The twin heads project forward from a shared neck, each with an elongated muzzle and small pricked ears. Size: 45mm x 35mm; Weight: 35g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Belgium; formerly in a German private collection before 2000.
