COLLECTION OF GREEK GOLD LION-SHAPED PENDANTS. Ca. 700 - 400 BC. A collection of three gold lion-shaped pendants, each formed from a thin sheet of gold. The obverse worked in repoussé with a frontal leonine mask above detailed forelegs and splayed paws; each with integral wire loops for suspension at the head and at the feet. Size: 22-24mm x 10-11mm; Weight: 4g Provenance: Private London collection, acquired on the German art market, Munich before 2000. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
