GREEK PERIOD BRONZE SWORD WITH DISC POMMEL. Ca. 1200 - 900 BC. A bronze sword featuring a long, triangular blade with central blood grooves. The round-section hilt comprises a broad flaring discoid pommel, a short bar grip, and a smaller forward disc above. The blade rises from a rectangular forte with rounded flanges. For similar see: R.
