GNATHIAN LEKANIS WITH VEGETAL MOTIF. Ca. 350 BC. A pottery lekanis comprising a deep circular bowl on a raised foot and a fitting lid rising to a slender stem with a flaring disc knob. The lower part is covered in black gloss, while the lid features concentric rings enclosing scrolling tendrils, a border of vertical strokes around the edge, and a small palmette on the knob.
