ROMAN MARBLE PAIR OF OXEN HITCHED TO THE CART. Ca. AD 1 - 200. A stone carving depicting a pair of bulls standing side by side beneath a shared yoke. Their heads are slightly turned and legs positioned in motion. The figures stand atop a flat, integral base. Size: 170mm x 160mm; Weight: 3.74kg Provenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the German art market in the 1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
