LATE ROMAN SILVER CUP WITH CLIPEI.
Ca. AD 400 - 500.
A silver cup with a thick, pronounced rim, near-vertical upper wall, and rounded lower body. Below the rim run two braided bands between narrow notched borders. The lower register is decorated with four clipei enclosing profile busts, set among scrolling palmettes and leafy tendrils.
