ROMAN AGATE CAMEO DEPICTING YOUNG EMPEROR IN GOLD OPENWORK PENDANT.
Ca. AD 50 - 100.
A layered agate cameo carved with the bust of a youthful emperor. Set as a pendant in a gold mount with a circular box collet and a broad collar. An openwork circlet of rounded lobes surrounds the setting and is surmounted by a rolled suspension loop.
