ROMAN GOLD RING WITH CARNELIAN INTAGLIO DEPICTING BEAR AND INSCRIPTION ‘VIC’. Ca. AD 1 - 300. A carnelian intaglio engraved with a bear advancing left and inscribed ‘VIC’ above. Set in a gold ring with an oval box collet on a flat-topped octagonal bezel plate, with tapering shoulders descending to a narrow hoop.
