PAIR OF EARLY ROMAN GOLD EARRINGS. Ca. AD 100-200. A striking pair of matched heavy gold earrings, each composed of a curved thick band with applied granulated pyramids. Jewellery was particularly important for Roman women because this was something that was their own property and not their husbands'.
