SET OF ROMAN GOLD JEWELLERY OF A NOBLEWOMAN.
Ca. AD 100 - 300.
A set of gold jewellery, including, from left to right: a pendant of tapering outline with a ribbed suspension loop, the central panel carved with the bust of a veiled woman and enclosed by a plain mount, finished below with twin wire drops each terminating in a garnet bead; and a gold finger ring with a broad D-section hoop expanding to an oval bezel engraved with a vegetal branch.
