ROMAN CARNELIAN INTAGLIO DEPICTING EROS CITHAREDO IN GOLD RING. Ca. AD 50 - 150. A carnelian intaglio engraved with winged Eros seated left on a stool, playing a cithara. Set in a gold ring with an oval collet within a broad bezel, angular shoulders, and a hoop tapering towards the back. The ring of a possibly later period.
