ROMAN GOLD AND BANDED AGATE INTAGLIO RING DEPICTING ISIS-FORTUNA.
Ca. AD 50 - 200.
A banded agate oval intaglio engraved with Isis-Fortuna standing in profile. The draped figure wearing a modius, holding a cornucopia in the right hand and a steering oar in the left, set on a baseline. The gem is mounted in a plain oval gold collet with small clusters of three granules at each junction with a double hoop formed from two parallel round-section wires.
