ROMAN CARNELIAN INTAGLIO DEPICTING FORTUNA IN GOLD RING.
Ca. AD 50 - 200.
A red carnelian intaglio engraved with Fortuna standing left, draped, holding a cornucopia in the left arm. Set within a rectangular recess, in a plain collet sunk into a gold ring of a continuous hoop of near-circular section that swells at the front and narrows on the back. The ring of a possibly later period.
