COLLECTION OF ROMAN GLASS UNGUENTARIA.
Ca. AD 1 - 200.
A collection of five glass unguentaria, including, from left to right: a large bottle with a broad pear-shaped body, a straight tubular neck, and a rolled lip; a smaller example with a piriform body, a long neck, and a rounded rim; a candlestick flask formed with a tall cylindrical neck rising from a low domed base and finished with a flat out-turned mouth; a vessel with a globular body and a narrow tubular neck opening to a simple everted lip; and a cosmetic jar with an expansive rim set over a spool-like body on a spreading foot.
