FUNERARY MASK Wood, stucco, pigments H. 37 cm Egypt, Late Period to Ptolemaic Period (7th–1st centuries BC) Provenance Formerly in the collection of Jean Ferrero (art dealer), acquired in 1962 Private collection in the South of France, acquired from the Ferrero Gallery, Nice The mask retains the top section of the painted, striated wig. The youthful face features large, made-up eyes and arched eyebrows painted black.
