Florence, early 20th century Reproduction of Donatello’s Saint George (original c. 1415–1417, sculpted for Orsanmichele; now in the Bargello, Florence). A young warrior standing full-length, his head turned to his left, gazing into the distance; Renaissance breastplate with riveted lamellar shoulder guards and arm guards, cloak fastened across the chest with a rosette clasp; his left hand resting on the edge of the large shield held upright, its tip pointing towards the ground in front of him, his right arm at his side.
