In his Volcanos series, Jean Boghossian uses the volcano as a metaphor for creative energy.
Through the use of fire, material and colour, he evokes a world in perpetual formation,
shaped by internal forces. Drips, splashes and effects of combustion combine to create a painting
in eruption, where the successive layers of the surface recall those of the Earth’s crust.
Each work thus reflects the constant dialogue between destruction, transformation and creation.
