Born in the UK, designer George Sowden moved to Milan in 1970 and never left. A close friend of Ettore Sottsass, he was one of the founding members of the Memphis group in 1981.
He has worked with many major brands, including Olivetti, Alessi, Bodum, Guzzini, Swatch, Moulinex, Telecom Italia and Tefal.
