Description
Philippe STARCK (Born 1949) for DAUM Nancy
Small strangeness under a wall, 1988
Blown blue crystal horn supporting a glass plate
Signed on the edge Daum STARCK
47 x 29 x 34cm
Provenance: Private collection of Mr Jean-Pierre HOCHET
In the 1980s, Daum collaborated with the designers of the day. In 1988, Philippe Starck designed a collection of vases and tables called "Etrangeté", which marked the designer's transition from the first radical metal shapes to organic forms, which would be developed in the 1990s with plastic. Here, the horn is one of the most emblematic elements of the designs from this period.
