Ettore SOTTSASS (1917-2007) Sugar, 1987 Cracked white ceramic centrepiece Edition Anthology Quartett (AL), marked on the reverse Height: 8.5cm - Diameter: 31cm Provenance: Private collection of Mr Jean-Pierre Hochet This centrepiece/fruit bowl, created in 1972, is part of the Indian Memory series designed by Ettore Sottsass. Interested in ceramics from the 1950s onwards, the Italian designer used them to rethink everyday items in original, highly modern forms. The series was published by Anthology, before being taken over by Alessio Sarri.
