Wooden bookcase covered with polychrome patterned laminate, opening in the central part with two leaves, three drawers and a flap, resting on a square base in blackened wood, and presenting 10 shelves on the perimeter.
Memphis edition, first edition, publisher's plate "Memphis Milano 1981" on the base

This bookcase is one of the most emblematic pieces of the Memphis movement and its leader, Ettore Sottsass. A similar piece was bought by David Bowie, a great collector of the Memphis movement.
