Nathalie DU PASQUIER (born 1957) Cheese knife, ebony and rosewood handle and raised blade Made by the workshops of the Musée de la Coutellerie de Thiers, 1985 Certificate of authenticity by Nathalie Du Pasquier Provenance: Private collection of Mr Jean-Pierre Hochet In 1985, the town of Thiers organised a symposium on monumental metal sculpture, inviting a number of artists, including Dennis Oppenheim and Patrick Raynaud, to create works that would later be installed in Thiers' urban spaces. As part of this event, several designers collaborated with the Musée de la Coutellerie - or more precisely with "La Maison des Coutelliers", an association linked to the museum at the time.
