Helmet / Cabasset, Italy, Renaissance period, 16th century, A wrought-iron Cabasset in an ogival shape, topped with a small spur flattened towards the back; it has a flat rim with a beaded edge, featuring copper rivets and rosettes; it bears a ‘Venezia’ hallmark; it is one of the very earliest models; height 18 cm; in fair condition (pits, wear and loss). Base not included.
