A Bronze inkwell decorated with a grotesque, lion's paws, and coat of arms 'Obert de Thieusies', Renaissance style, 19th/20th century. Bronze. Inkwell, with pen holder, storage compartment, ink reservoir, and sand sprinkler (glasses/jars are missing), and two candle holders. Decorated with a grotesque, acanthus leaves, and the coat of arms of the Obert de Thieusies family (Chateau de Thoricourt, Hainaut), including the motto 'Pro Lumine Virtus'.
