Sèvres, 'Bleu Céleste' porcelain, an antique 11-piece cake or pastry service with hand-painted decorations, circa 1860. Sèvres porcelain. Bleu Céleste, with gilded and hand-painted decorations. Decorated with floral cartouches and gallant scenes. Eight plates (D: 24.5 cm) Marked S.61, S.62, and S.68, for production in 1861, 1862, and 1868 respectively. Several plates are also marked 'P.D.' in a recess, for 'Pâte Dure', which indicates an old clay composition from before 1870/1880. Two footed bowls or tazza (H: 6.5 cm x D: 21.7 cm / H: 11.5 cm x D: 21.5 cm) Small cake dish, mounted with gilded bronze. (H: 9.5 cm x W: 24 cm x D: 14.5 cm) Sèvres, France, circa 1860.
