A Pair of exceptional porcelain hand-painted wall sconces or appliques, 'Autumn' and 'Winter', Dresden, Late 19th century. German porcelain. A pair of wall sconces or appliques, with five candle holders. Mounted with putti and an allegory for the seasons (Autumn: putto with bunch of grapes / Winter: putto with small fire basket). Decorated with a hand-painted gallant scene, corresponding to the season. Rococo style. Probably Dresden, not visibly marked. Germany, late 19th century. (45 x 57 x 11 cm) Condition Report: Restorations.
