Vieux Paris, an exceptional pair of vases with hand-painted 'Esmeralda' decoration, signed Fortin, France, 19th century. Polychrome and gilded porcelain. Pair of vases with a burgundy base and gilded finish. Richly decorated with sculptured flowers and leaves, and hand-painted decors 'Dancing Esmeralda' and 'La Esmeralda', after Carl August Von Steuben (1788-1856). Signed 'Fortin' at the bottom, possibly for Paul Marie Fortin (1809–1862) (?). Vieux Paris. France, 19th century.
