Fabergé, a silver vinaigrette or fragrance box in the shape of a flower, Russia, 1861-1896. Silver. Solid silver. Marked for Fabergé. Grade marked 84 zolotniki (875/1000), for the period 1861-1896. A 'vinaigrette' is a small, luxurious fragrance box worn by the upper class in the 18th and 19th centuries to mask unpleasant odors and prevent fainting. Total gross weight of silver: 23 g.
