Description
Delvaux ‘Mon Grand Bonheur’, a handbag. Alligator leather and gold-plated hardware. Circa 1960. Designed by Delvaux in 1959 for the wedding of Queen Paola to King Albert II of Belgium. Alligator leather fitted with gold-plated hardware. Added is an original wallet in the same leather. Includes the original fabric storage bag and an original Delvaux mirror, but not matching the set. Reference: Judah H. (2009) ‘Delvaux, 180 ans de luxe Belge’, Racine, pp. 126–128. Height including the handle: 42 cm. (31 x 24 x 0 cm) Condition Report: Minor use marks on the exterior. Some light use marks and ageing signs on the interior. Mostly in good condition.
