A double-bodied cabinet serving as a writing desk, finished in European varnish imitating Chinese lacquer, decorated on all sides with houses, trees, bamboo, plants and lakeside scenes, The upper section, with a moulded pediment, opens via two doors adorned with medallions depicting landscape scenes set within garlands and floral friezes. The interior contains six drawers, two compartments and two doors, the central one of which is embellished with a palace scene.
