Darloz, a Franco-Canadian painter and photographer living in Nancy, grew up in Grenoble and spent many years in Canada. He reinvents the heritage of Art Nouveau through a universe he calls Nouvel Art Nouveau, combining an overflowing chromatic energy, multiple layers of colour that enrich the background and form, supple lines, vivid or suggested perspective and chiaroscuro, and vibrant urban landscapes.
