19th-century French school Portrait of Alain de Kersabiech, in the uniform of a papal zouave. Graphite. 23 x 18 cm (image size). Stains. Not examined outside the frame; pinholes and foxing. Alain SIOC’HAN de KERSABIEC (Nantes, 28 September 1842 – Saint-Étienne-de-Montluc, 3 April 1877) was a captain in the Pontifical Zouaves. He married Marie Alice Liénard SAVEUSE de BEAUJEU (1851–1914) in London on 18 April 1870, and they had five children.
