Louis AUCOC AINE, Paris
A signed toiletries set in blackened wood, decorated with brass inlays depicting the initials ‘EC’. It comprises 13 bottles and boxes of various shapes. The stoppers are made of silver, engraved with the ‘EC’ coat of arms beneath a marquis’s crown within guilloché-decorated panels; the containers are made of crystal.
A hidden compartment reveals a writing set (inkwells, quills, etc.) and various tools (such as sewing scissors, a thimble, a small Swiss army knife, hooks, brushes and miscellaneous items), as well as other secret compartments.
