A DOZEN NAPKINS, in linen damask bearing the Talleyrand-Périgord monogram, Second Empire period, fine damask decorated with a wreath of roses, anemones and wildflowers, framed by garlands and floral cups in the spandrels. Small ‘TP’ monogram embroidered in red plumetis on one corner, 92 x 73 cm.
Provenance: Estate of François Bonneau, former curator of the Château de Valençay, sales of the 1960s and 1970s.
