Description
IMPORTANT TABLE LINEN SET in damask linen, comprising a tablecloth and twenty-four napkins, circa 1860–1885, the central panel decorated with a wreath of natural-coloured wildflowers and ears of wheat, featuring an elegant ‘FS’ monogram beneath a count’s crown, embroidered in plumetis and point de sable. Border of a garland of the same flowers (minor stains), 710 x 280 cm. Matching napkins (slight wear on a few napkins), 93 x 74 cm. On 7 December 1886, Mademoiselle de Foy married Monsieur de Saussine, Count of Pont de Gault.
