LINEN TABLE LINEN SET in damask, comprising a tablecloth and twelve napkins, c. 1886; the centre features a moulded cartouche motif framed by floral festoons, embroidered in plumetis with the double monogram ‘SDP’ beneath a count’s crown. Border decorated with garlands of foliage and lilacs set between two friezes of pearls, 295 x 220 cm. Matching napkins, 90 x 75 cm. The set was commissioned to mark the marriage of Mademoiselle Villedieu de Torcy to Count Saussine Dupont de Gault in 1886.
