BANQUET TABLE CLOTH in linen damask bearing the Foy-Torcy monogram beneath a marquis’s crown, circa 1911, table runner with a scattered pattern of roses and flowering branches within a frame of foliage, the border decorated with scrolls of foliage punctuated by small bouquets in medallions and four further lush bouquets in the spandrels. Small ‘FT’ monogram beneath a marquis’s crown embroidered on one corner, (slight wear), 490 x 240 cm. On 29 July 1911, Mademoiselle Foy married the Marquis de Torcy.
