18th-century French school Man in a brown frock coat, identified as Louis-Joseph de BARBERÉ de SAINT-BÔMER (probably). Miniature. 6 x 5 cm. Louis-Joseph de BARBERÉ de SAINT-BÔMER (Nantes, 1711–Paris, 1791), Captain of the Coast Guard. He was married to Anne de Potor; they had one child, André-Marie-Sébastien-Louis-Joseph de BARBERÉ de SAINT-BÔMER (see the next lot).
