A pair of five-branched candelabra in chiselled and patinated bronze, attributed to Claude François Rabiat, dating from the Empire period The shaft is decorated with two winged cherubs holding bouquets, resting on a column chiselled with floral motifs. H. 66.5 cm Rabiat (1756–1815), a bronze caster and chaser who was granted master status in 1778. Based at 41 Rue Beaubourg, he ran a foundry and supplied the merchants André Coquille and Thémet, as well as the bronze artists Thomire, Galle and Feuchère.
