GIO PONTI Open-frame bed. Metal, painted metal, curved wood of various species, upholstered fabric. Manufactured by Ital-bed, 1960s. 64x198x90 cm A DAY BED BY G. PONTI See: Domus, no. 440, July 1966, Eurodomus special; Domus, no. 398, January 1963, advertising page, examples from the same series. Good condition. Signs of wear, small scratches and dents in the wood, minor touch-ups and missing sections. Re-polished, with recently renewed fabric and upholstery. The legs show signs of oxidation and areas where the varnish is missing.
