AFRA & TOBIA SCARPA Five ‘Monk’ chairs. Walnut, leather. Manufactured by Molteni, c. 1974. 75 x 51.5 x 48.5 cm FIVE CHAIRS BY A. & T. SCARPA G. Gramigna, Repertorio del design italiano 1950–2000 per l’arredamento domestico, Allemandi, Turin 2021, p. 222; A. Piva, *Afra and Tobia Scarpa: Architects and Designers*, Mondadori, Milan, 1985, pp. 87, 145. Overall condition is fair. Wood shows scratches, scuffs and normal signs of wear. The leather has a patina with slight tears and cuts on the upper part of the chair. One fixing screw is missing from one of the five chairs. One end cap is missing from one of the backrests.
